Systems Engineer – Identity & Platform

Work Schedule
Monday through Friday with a hybrid schedule consisting of two days onsite and three days remote. Occasional evening, weekend, and after-hours work is required to support maintenance activities, upgrades, and an on-call rotation.
Position Summary
Our client is seeking a Systems Engineer focused on Identity and Platform Engineering to help design, implement, support, and maintain secure, highly available enterprise infrastructure. This individual will play a key role in identity management, platform services, cloud infrastructure, and automation while working closely with infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity teams.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Engineer, administer, and support enterprise identity platforms including Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, enterprise applications, and role-based access controls (RBAC).
- Support certificate lifecycle management utilizing enterprise certificate management platforms.
- Manage cloud-based hardware security modules (Cloud HSM) and identity-related security services.
- Administer and support containerized platforms including Kubernetes, Rancher, Docker, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Support Azure and hybrid cloud infrastructure environments.
- Manage Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions such as CyberArk.
- Monitor and troubleshoot container platforms using enterprise observability and monitoring tools.
- Administer Windows Server 2019/2022, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), VMware, and Kubernetes environments.
- Configure and support core infrastructure services including DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Partner with infrastructure, networking, and information security teams to maintain reliable and secure enterprise platforms.
- Lead the deployment of new infrastructure technologies and upgrades to existing environments.
- Develop automation using PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting languages to streamline administration and operational tasks.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and serve as an escalation point for enterprise systems.
- Participate in a rotating 24x7 on-call schedule.
Qualifications
- Strong experience supporting enterprise identity management and infrastructure platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, hybrid cloud technologies, and Kubernetes.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative technical environment.
Preferred Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Five or more years of systems engineering experience.
- Experience with CyberArk, AKS, Docker, Rancher, VMware, Azure, AWS, SQL Server, Citrix, Varonis, and enterprise identity technologies is preferred.
- Experience supporting large enterprise or professional services environments is a plus.
