A leading global professional services organization is seeking a Knowledge Management Manager to lead and enhance its enterprise knowledge infrastructure. This leadership role oversees key knowledge platforms, including intranet and collaboration systems, and supports the continued development of enterprise search and document management tools.
The successful candidate will partner closely with legal professionals, technology teams, and business operations leaders to ensure knowledge assets remain accessible, secure, and aligned with firmwide standards.
Lead and develop a team responsible for intranet and knowledge collaboration platforms.
Promote accountability, engagement, and professional growth within the team.
Establish a high-performing and service-oriented team culture.
Oversee the daily administration and optimization of intranet and internal knowledge platforms.
Maintain appropriate user access controls, system updates, and content governance standards.
Act as a primary escalation point for content and system-related inquiries from practice groups and business teams.
Implement and maintain best practices for organizing, categorizing, and managing content lifecycle processes.
Analyze usage trends and metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide oversight and strategic direction for enterprise search functionality.
Partner with technical teams on system enhancements, issue resolution, and quality assurance.
Evaluate search performance and recommend refinements to improve user experience and information retrieval.
Serve as liaison between knowledge teams and technology teams regarding document management system updates and enhancements.
Coordinate testing, communication, and resolution of issues that impact knowledge workflows.
Monitor developments in knowledge management technologies and professional services best practices.
Refine workflows and governance policies to enhance knowledge sharing and operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with data protection, confidentiality, and internal governance standards.
Contribute to strategic initiatives and special projects as needed.
Strong judgment and discretion when handling sensitive information.
Proven ability to lead and motivate teams within a professional services environment.
Highly analytical with strong problem-solving capabilities.
Comfortable navigating complex and evolving operational challenges.
Ability to translate strategic objectives into structured, actionable plans.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in knowledge management within a law firm or comparable professional services organization.
Demonstrated experience leading and developing professional staff.
Experience supporting intranet, collaboration, enterprise search, or similar knowledge platforms.
Familiarity with document management systems; experience with leading DMS platforms preferred.
Experience within a law firm knowledge, innovation, or risk/compliance environment preferred.
JD preferred but not required.
The expected base salary range for this position is $200,000 to $220,000, depending on experience, skills, and overall fit. A comprehensive benefits package is also offered.
This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring three days per week onsite in New York City.
