Job Description

Junior IT Training Officer
  • Location NY or DC
  • Salary Range 85-100k
  • Core Hours – Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 5:30 pm 
Purpose of Role
  • Delivery of training skills and content in supporting the planning, design, and delivery of in-house IT courses.  Required to travel to regional and possibly international offices.
  • The role holder is expected to consider Information Security in all aspects of their role.
  • Delivery of computer-based training modules and courses on the firm's computer systems and technology utilizing industry- and firm-standard eLearning platforms
  • Delivery of virtual and live training courses on the firm's computer systems and office technology
  • Provide full evaluations of all training events to attendees and submit details according to regional policy
  • Input course attendance data into the firm’s Learning Management System
  • Conduct training needs analysis to assist the IT Training team in the design and development of training programs and documentation
  • Manage small projects in their entirety, report progress, and ensure the team is fully briefed in order to achieve the objectives of the project
  • Provide effective virtual and in-person support
  • Work closely with team members to ensure the objectives of the team are met
  • Availability to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends
  • Provide backup training as and when required for the regional offices.

Experience and Technical Skills
  • Minimum 3 years experience utilizing eLearning authoring tools (Articulate, Adobe Captivate, Snagit, etc.)
  • Minimum 1-year training experience
  • Training (virtual) experience in Microsoft Office Suite Apps and Services 2016 and later (e.g., Outlook, Word, Teams, OneDrive, etc.)
  • Ideally to have experience with:
    • Document management systems
    • Online meeting tools such as WebEx and Teams
    • Document comparison software
    • Time recording applications
    • Business development and contact relationship management systems.
  • Minimum 1 year in a law firm (2+ preferred).
  • MOS certification or equivalent is desirable.
  • A two- or four-year college degree is preferred.
